Sudhir Choudhrie is an acclaimed entrepreneur, founding and acting as chairman of companies spanning business, real estate, art and film. Sudhir has lived in the UK since 1990 and has now taken British citizenship. Sudhir Choudhrie was elected as an Honorary Consul General of India in 2009 by the Royal Commonwealth Society for the Indian Association in the UK, becoming the third Honorary Consul to have been appointed by India for the United Kingdom. Since 2009, he has had a weekly column in The Times of India and is actively involved in social work through his business. He is also Chairman of both the India UK Council and the Fulbright Research and Policy Forum for UK-India relations, as well as the Indian Community Network for the UK. He is a regular commentator on issues surrounding the UK-India relationship in the national and international media.
Sudhir Choudhrie is the founder of C&C Alpha Group, one of the most successful private investment groups in Europe. He is an award-winning international entrepreneur and investor, and currently serves on the boards of Enterprise Europe Network and the Department for International Development. In 2013 he was appointed Chairman of V&A Capital and in 2016 he was made a Deputy Lieutenant of Middlesex and was awarded an OBE for services to business. He was listed in The Sunday Times’ ‘Top 100 Most Influential Indians’ of 2013 and is also a fellow of The Institute of Directors.
